Episode 65: Comedians Jess Everett and Kamryn Minch

This week Scott and Brogan talk to two local Tacoma area comedians, Kamryn Minch and Jess Everett.

The show starts with Kamryn discussing her beginning in comedy two years ago and then starting Peeled Bananas Comedy about a year later. Peeled Banana's shows are hosted at the B-Sharp coffee house in Tacoma. They do open mic once a week and a showcase show once a month. The next showcase is on October 27th. They go on to discuss Grit City's recent open mic night and the process of starting their first comedy show.

Conversation then turns to how long Jess has been performing and his start at the Tacoma Comedy Club. They then discuss the comedy scene in Tacoma and the number of comics in the area. They also talk about performing at venues in Seattle and Olympia and peeling bananas from the bottom.

The topics change a little and cover Kamryn’s cleaning business, working for the man, and Scott and Brogan hosting the podcast together. Talk then turns to Jess and his comedy performance at the recent Grit City open mic night. They also discuss the comedians and shows like In Living Color that inspire them to do comedy.
