GCP 66: Deathbed Confessions

Episode 66: Deathbed Confessions

On this episode, Scott and Brogan talk to the members from Deathbed Confessions, a metal band from Tacoma, Washington. Members are: Josh (bass), Tracy (guitar), Jerod (drums), and Damien (vocals). The show, recorded at Malarkeys, starts off going into deep nerd talk chatting about the 90's cartoons Voltron and SilverHawks. Brogan also explains how he knows the members outside of the band and then each of the members talk about how they got their started in music.

Talk then quickly turns to alarm clocks, how many the guys use, and the crazy different types of alarms on the market, including a helicopter that takes off around the room when going off, a target setup that requires you to use the gun to turn it off, and one that requires you to put in a pin code turn it off.

They then discuss Tracy’s love for cheese, his red hair and that despite his Viking appearance, he has Mexican roots. Brogan also chats about his real name, Willis Brogan, and the looks he gets after people realize he’s the white Willis. Also the guys talk about famous people that are red headed and have Mexican roots including Louie CK.

Talk turns to where each of the band members met and how the band got together. They also talk about celebrating their 5 year anniversary. A great accomplishment for the band, most people are surprised to learn they are all original members. Josh also discusses the difference of performing in front of a “21 and over” crowd and an “all age’s” crowd.
