GCP 91: The GCP Room with Cajun and The Reverend En Fuego - Norwescon 39
Episode 91: The GCP Room with Cajun and The Reverend En Fuego – Norwescon 39
This week’s episode is a special pod cast recorded at Norwescon 39 where the guys are joined by Cajun from Dethcon, and The Reverend En Fuego to celebrate GCP’s second visit to Norwescon.
The show kicks off talking about GCP’s first year’s success and new sponsors for the show that include Nightside Distillery in Edgewood and Old Soldier Distillery in Tacoma. They then dive into being invited to a wine party with fellow Norwescon attenders and what they’ve done at the event so far.
Next they chat about the previous guest, artist Mike Warren and the art he’s created like the Darth Vader body for the EMP in Seattle. They also talk about Dethcon’s party last year with the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy theme, and Def Con 12, their Lovecraftian theme, room design, and what goers can expect this year.
The show then turns to Dethcon’s plans for their party for the weekend and what people can expect. Cajun explains how the annual party all got started with their want to give back to the attendees of the con and give the adults a place to go. He outlines 2016’s party plans which included a performance by Death*Star, the Nerdcore hip hop band, and Feisty Felines’ Burlesque group.

Episode winds down discussing con room etiquettes and how much it costs to have a party room at the con. Cajun and Rev also talk about what they’re looking forward to see this year that includes seeing friends they haven’t seen in a while, playing Magic and people watching.
The first Con podcast for 2016 comes to a close with Cajun explaining how people can get involved in Dethcon next year through donation and volunteering. He also talks about what was happening on the last night of the con. Thanks Cajun and Rev for helping the guys kick off the 2016 con episodes!
