00:00 – Robo Brogan kicks off the show, Steve shares how what he’s been doing during Covid, and his plans for returning to do Steve’s Drunken History Tacoma in person. Scott expresses his appreciation for Steve’s moccasins, they discuss reasons for US to return to the moon, and Justin gives an update on the haps at the Union Club. Steve talks about what’s been going on at the Pythian temple, projects that they’re working on there, and what his favorite artifact is.

20:53 – Steve tells the George Janovich story including George’s involvement in The Enterprise, how they got caught for burning down The Top of Ocean restaurant, and the books he’s working on, one around Fort Steilacoom, the other on the History of Medical Care in Pierce County. He talks other pandemics throughout history, plans for publishing the books, and the different things he does around the community.

45:30 – They question why there isn’t a beer in a box like wine, Scott reflects on the importance of a tap when throwing a party, and Justin tlks about plans for a kegerator for the home bar. Justin gives an update on the home studio, shifts to coaster question, and Steve talks about his go to drink during the pandemic. They jump into Is It Tacoma, Steve, Jeff, and Scott break out their pocketknives, and Scott shares things he considers before he buys a knife.

60:03 – Steve talks about his trip to Ohio, the food culture that’s missing in Toledo, and shares the three things about Ohio that he doesn’t understand. Justin talks about the fireworks in Tacoma, how the cops in Tacoma feel about people shooting off fireworks, and Steve dives into an article around the Unsolved Mysteries in Tacoma. The show kicks off with conversation on how Suzanne and Justin met through karaoke in an apartment complex where they section off studio rooms to use for private karaoke rooms. Susanne then dives into her career as a Staff Biologist at Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium and how she got started with them as a volunteer in 2002. She talks about doing stage shows at the zoo and what made her decide to study zoology.

15:49 – Suzanne talks about exotic animal trade, the zoo recommending that people don’t buy exotic animals, and how breeders of cats and dogs at times make people write essays before they allow them to buy their new pet. She verifies that ligers are real animals and the genetic problems that come up with breeding them. She mentions that good organizations and zoos don’t promote ligers because they want to focus their efforts on breeding animals that need to be reproduced.

26:35 – Suzanne covers the American Association of Zoo Keepers and the Point Defiance AAZK chapter that holds monthly Drinking for Conservation events. She explains that all of the funds raised at each event are donated to the organization that supports the endangered species they are highlighting that month. 44:24 – Suzanne tells the guys about Northwest Trek, her internship there and her 7 hour interview that got her the internship on the spot. She covers Point Defiance building their new aquarium that will open at the end of the summer and people being able to attend the zoo during their renovation. The show kicks off with Amani telling the guys what he’s been up to with the comedy shows he hosts each week in the South Sound area. He talks about the different audiences at each of the three locations and breaking the news of Prince’s death to one of the regulars at Hangers, one of the places he hosts comedy shows at.

15:08 – Amani gives advice for people wanting to get started in comedy, his month of alcohol sobriety and taking on the one month cold shower challenge. Talk then goes to Tacoma scam stories where people are asking others for money in the area, Justin’s wife’s recent run in with a lady using the strategy of getting people to give by mentioning that those that don’t give her money have the devil in them and homemade ice cream trucks in the area.
