The Grit City Podcast is a weekly audio experience like no other! Hosted from the vibrant city of Tacoma, Washington - also known as "Grit City," our show has been entertaining and informing listeners since 2014. And what a ride it's been! Every week, we release a new episode that introduces you to the dynamic and inspiring individuals who call the Pacific Northwest home. From local business owners and entrepreneurs to authors, artists, and unique characters, our guests embody the hard-working, blue-collar spirit that Grit City is known for. And let's not forget the occasional drug-fueled weirdo we may have met at a comedy club the night before! The Grit City Podcast first launched back in the summer of 2014 and quickly built a loyal fanbase of listeners who appreciated the show's unique perspective on the Seattle/Tacoma area. After a brief hiatus in 2017, the podcast was rebooted in 2018, with even more friends and family members involved. It quickly regained its "must listen to" status and went on to deliver an impressive 275 episodes and counting, delivering over 280 hours of audio content to our fans since. With no signs of slowing down soon! Our mission at The Grit City Podcast is simple: to bring the hard-working spirit of the Pacific Northwest to the world and have a good time doing it! We aim to create a community of listeners who understand and appreciate the concept of "grit". With a focus on local business owners, entrepreneurs, and unique characters, sprinkled with a good dose of humor, The Grit City Podcast is a one-of-a-kind audio experience that you won't want to miss. <itunes:subtitle>Jeff went to Europe. Europe may never recover.

This week on Saturday Night Grit, Jeff returns with stories of Guinness, Irish pubs, historic grave robbers, and a London escalator that nearly became his final destination.

And then there's the Dublin CBD incident. 🤢

Let's just say Jeff had a little too much of a good time, and his wife was NOT impressed.

Throw in getting flagged at U.S. Customs, wandering London's graffiti tunnels, hunting down fried chicken in Cork, and somehow ending up in a debate about electric kettles and ramen, and you've got another beautifully unhinged episode of Grit City Podcast.

GCP Goes International: Pubs, Puking & Paranormal History

Jeff is back from Europe, and apparently surviving the trip was an adventure all by itself.

This week on Saturday Night Grit, Jeff, Scott, Mike, and C-Note reunite to hear about Jeff's travels through London, Ireland, and Scotland. Between historic castles, crowded underground trains, incredible pubs, and enough walking to destroy a man's knees, there's plenty to unpack.

The guys revisit Jeff's increasingly entertaining voicemails from Dublin, where he discovers Irish literature, Viking history, amazing food, and the magic of Guinness. He even gets his face printed on a pint of beer. Because apparently drinking your own face is a thing now.

Things get considerably more ridiculous when Jeff shares his near-death experience on a London escalator, his unexpected encounter with U.S. Customs, and a Dublin CBD adventure that ends with him violently regretting his decisions in the middle of a busy street.

But the trip isn't all questionable choices. Jeff also explores London's graffiti scene, enjoys a proper Sunday roast, rides the train to Cork, and learns about Edinburgh's infamous Burke and Hare murders.

And because this is Grit City Podcast, the conversation eventually takes a completely unnecessary detour into electric kettles, ramen noodles, and the finer points of making yakisoba with steak.

European history, public transportation disasters, questionable substances, and fried chicken. Just another Saturday Night Grit.
