GCP Goes International: Pubs, Puking & Paranormal History
Jeff is back from Europe, and apparently surviving the trip was an adventure all by itself.
This week on Saturday Night Grit, Jeff, Scott, Mike, and C-Note reunite to hear about Jeff's travels through London, Ireland, and Scotland. Between historic castles, crowded underground trains, incredible pubs, and enough walking to destroy a man's knees, there's plenty to unpack.
The guys revisit Jeff's increasingly entertaining voicemails from Dublin, where he discovers Irish literature, Viking history, amazing food, and the magic of Guinness. He even gets his face printed on a pint of beer. Because apparently drinking your own face is a thing now.
Things get considerably more ridiculous when Jeff shares his near-death experience on a London escalator, his unexpected encounter with U.S. Customs, and a Dublin CBD adventure that ends with him violently regretting his decisions in the middle of a busy street.
But the trip isn't all questionable choices. Jeff also explores London's graffiti scene, enjoys a proper Sunday roast, rides the train to Cork, and learns about Edinburgh's infamous Burke and Hare murders.
And because this is Grit City Podcast, the conversation eventually takes a completely unnecessary detour into electric kettles, ramen noodles, and the finer points of making yakisoba with steak.
European history, public transportation disasters, questionable substances, and fried chicken. Just another Saturday Night Grit.
